A holistic approach to speech, language, voice, and swallowing

We all have unique bodies, with our own medical histories, lifestyles, and movement patterns. At Integrative Speech Therapy, we always look at the whole person. The most important thing is improving your quality of life, whether that is changing how your voice sounds, or simply enjoying a meal with your family.

The issues addressed by a speech-language pathologist often intersect with disturbances in breathing, motion, and muscle tension. We sometimes incorporate traditional therapeutic techniques with aspects of yoga and manual therapy to improve outcomes, while always adhering to the highest level of evidence-based practice available.

All of our therapists have advanced degrees and are certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). We additionally have practitioners who are certified in LSVT® LOUD and Lessac-Madsen Resonant Voice Therapy (LMRVT), and who are pursuing Professional Yoga Therapy (PYT-C) Certification.

What does “holistic healthcare” mean?

In short, it means that you have control over your own body and your own speech therapy experience.

It means that while it is our job to provide you with background information and all of the available options, it is YOU and YOUR FAMILY’s decision how to proceed. We lay out all of the possible options, and make recommendations based on our experience, but always respect your decisions without judgment.

“Holistic healthcare” means that you and your family are in control of your own future. We are here to help you along this path.

By giving you the power of information, we are here to put you in charge of your own healthcare.
